GGG Cllr Catherine Young ensures Biodiversity is included in GBC's new Corporate Plan

At the GBC Executive meeting on 26 October, Catherine spoke about the item to recommend the new Corporate Plan for adoption at next week's Full Council Meeting (1/11/2021). She pointed out that the section on Environment was lacking in any mention of protecting our biodiversity. Protecting our wildlife and preserving our environment were high on residents’ responses to the consultation questionnaires, so it was important to reflect this in the Corporate Plan. The Leader of the Council promised to make this critical addition.

Catherine also asked during the discussion on the City Status bid that if this bid was successful, could we ensure that we look to support the Guildford City Football team in their search for a 'home ground'. This is a personal interest for Catherine as her son used to referee for the Youth Teams.
